Nearly every Indian gym already has a fingerprint terminal by the door. It usually came with software that runs on one Windows machine, exports a spreadsheet, and knows nothing about who has paid.
CoachFit reads that same terminal. A member puts a finger on the reader and the check-in lands against their record, beside their plan, their expiry date and what they owe — which is what makes attendance useful rather than merely recorded.
Any ADMS device
ADMS is the push protocol almost every Indian attendance terminal speaks. If your device supports it, CoachFit can take its punches — no proprietary hardware to buy.
Enrol once, recognised at every reader
The terminal matches the finger itself and sends an event: a number, a time and its serial. We keep its encoded template — never a fingerprint image — only to enrol the member on your other readers, and delete it when they delete their account.
No computer at the desk
The device talks to CoachFit over the internet on its own. Nothing to keep running on a PC, and nothing to export on a Sunday.
Not everyone needs a machine
Members can check in from the app inside a radius you set, or staff can mark somebody in from the desk. Every route ends in the same attendance record.
Devices that work
The test is ADMS (also written "Push SDK" or "ADMS server" in device menus), the standard most Indian attendance terminals ship with. In practice that covers the machines gyms already buy:
- ZKTeco fingerprint and face terminals — K40, F18, F22, MB460, SpeedFace and similar
- eSSL — X990, K30 Pro, Biomax and the rest of the ADMS range
- Realtime — T52, RS10 and other Push-enabled models
- Matrix COSEC devices with ADMS push enabled
- Biomax, Star Link and Secureye ADMS models
- Any other terminal whose menu has an ADMS or cloud-server setting
Setting one up
You register the device in CoachFit, which gives you a server address and a key. On the terminal, open the ADMS or cloud settings, type the address in, and save. The device starts pushing punches within a minute.
Members are matched by the device user id you enrol them with, and CoachFit hands you the next free number so two members never share one.
What attendance is for
Attendance that only proves somebody came is a log. Attendance tied to a membership tells you who has stopped coming — which is the single best warning that somebody is about to stop paying, weeks before the renewal date arrives.
Biometric attendance: common questions
Which biometric machines does CoachFit support?
Any terminal that supports ADMS push, which covers most fingerprint and face devices sold in India — ZKTeco, eSSL, Realtime, Matrix, Biomax, Star Link and Secureye among them. If your device menu has an ADMS or cloud-server option, it will work.
Do you store fingerprints?
No. Matching happens on the device. CoachFit receives an attendance event — a user number, a timestamp and the device serial — and stores an enrolment flag against the member. There is nothing in our database from which a fingerprint could be reconstructed.
What if I do not have a machine?
Members can check themselves in from the app when they are at the gym, using a location radius you set, or staff can mark attendance from the desk. You can add a terminal later and nothing about the record changes.
Does the device need a computer running next to it?
No. The terminal pushes punches to CoachFit over the internet by itself. It needs power and a network, and nothing else.
