Attendance

Attendance that tells you who is about to stop paying

Most gyms record attendance and then never read it. It sits in a register proving people came in, which nobody doubted.

The value is the other direction. Attendance is the only early warning a gym gets: a member stops coming about three weeks before they stop paying, and that gap is the whole opportunity.

Three ways in, one record

A fingerprint terminal, the member app, or a tap at the desk. All three write to the same attendance history, so reports never care which was used.

Who has gone quiet

Members who used to come four times a week and have not been in for a fortnight. That list, on a screen, is the most useful thing attendance data produces.

Busy hours, actually measured

When your floor is full and when it is empty — which decides staffing, class times and whether that second squat rack is needed.

Per-member history

A member asking "how often did I come last month?" gets an answer, and so does the trainer selling them a package.

What it looks like

Built for a phone at the front desk and a laptop in the office, not a demo video.

The three weeks before somebody leaves

Members rarely cancel. They drift — four visits a week becomes two, then one, then a month of nothing, and then the renewal simply does not happen.

By the time the expiry date arrives the decision was made weeks ago. Attendance is the only place that decision is visible while it can still be changed, and a phone call in week two costs nothing.

What to do with the list

Nothing elaborate. A message asking whether everything is alright recovers more memberships than any discount, because most drift is circumstantial rather than a decision about your gym.

  • Members with no visit in the last 14 days, who were regular before
  • Attendance by day and hour, for staffing
  • Per-member history, for trainers and for the front desk
  • Attendance beside fee status, so a lapsed regular is obvious

Common questions

Do I need a biometric machine to track attendance?

No. App check-in and front-desk entry work without any hardware. A fingerprint terminal removes the manual step, and CoachFit works with the ADMS devices most Indian gyms already own.

Can I see which members have stopped coming?

Yes, and it is the report worth opening weekly. Members who were regular and have gone quiet are the ones about to not renew, several weeks before the expiry date says so.

Does the member app track location?

App check-in can record the device location at the moment of check-in, so a member cannot mark themselves present from home. It is recorded only at check-in, and disclosed in our privacy policy.

Can trainers mark attendance?

Staff with attendance permission can, per branch. Trainers see their own sessions rather than the gym’s whole attendance register.
